Website Compliance Health‑Check

Know exactly where your website stands on compliance.

Data protection and accessibility rules apply to charitable trusts just as they do to larger organisations. But a full compliance audit is built for big, complex operations, and its cost is out of proportion for a small trust. Our health‑check is the proportionate alternative: a clear, expert review of your live website that tells you what matters, and what, if anything, needs putting right.

A proportionate approach

Sized for your trust, and defensible.

Only what your trust needs

Data protection duties are risk‑based. A trust running a few pages and a contact form is low‑risk and low‑volume, and the rules expect a response in proportion to that. We check what actually applies to you.

Accessibility in proportion

Accessibility is a duty to make reasonable adjustments, judged against your size and resources. We show you where your site falls short and which fixes are worth making, rather than holding you to a standard written for public bodies.

You decide what to fix

The health‑check finds the material issues and sets them out plainly, with our recommendation. You decide what to act on, and any fixes are quoted separately. You spend on real gaps, not on a forensic audit to find them.

What we check

A single, expert review of your live website against the areas that matter for a charitable trust.

  •   Your privacy policy, and whether it reflects what your website actually does.
  •   Cookies and tracking, and whether visitors are asked for consent the right way.
  •   Analytics and any third‑party scripts running on your pages.
  •   Whether people with disabilities or access needs can use your website, and where it falls short.

Two ways to get it

Compliance isn't a one‑time event. The rules change, and so does your website. You can commission the health‑check on its own, or have it built into a fully managed service and repeated every year.

One‑off health‑check

For trusts not on a WaaS plan.

£750

GBP per site · one‑off

  •  A review of your website as it stands today
  •  A prioritised action list, with a budget
  •  Delivered in about two weeks

Included with WaaS

For trusts on our fully managed plan.

Included

part of £299 · per month

  •  Re‑checked every year against the current rules
  •  A yearly written summary for your board
  •  Everyday fixes included in your monthly fee

What you receive

A short, readable report written for trustees and administrators, not for technicians.

A prioritised action list

Every issue we find, ranked by what matters, in plain language. Your board can see at a glance what needs attention and what can wait.

A clear budget

A realistic cost for putting the important things right, so trustees can make an informed decision and plan the spend with confidence.

Making the fixes

The health‑check is a diagnosis. Making the fixes is always your choice, and quoted before any work begins.

One‑off check

We carry out the fixes for you at £105 an hour, quoted up front.

On WaaS

Everyday fixes are already included. Anything more substantial is an optional add‑on, quoted first, so your monthly cost stays predictable.

When a fuller audit makes sense

The health‑check suits the great majority of trusts and foundations. There are a few situations where we would recommend something more thorough, and we will tell you plainly if one applies to you.

  •   You handle special‑category or otherwise sensitive personal data, such as health, safeguarding, or financial‑hardship details.
  •   You collect or process information about children or young people.
  •   You are a public body, or carry out public functions on another organisation's behalf.
  •   You run a high‑traffic website, or take payments or applications online at volume.

Full audits are built for large, complex, or higher‑risk organisations. For a small trust, that scale is disproportionate, which is why we offer the health‑check.

Type of review Cost Who it's for
Our compliance health‑check £750 Small, low‑risk trusts and foundations
Full WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility audit £2,500–£5,000 Large or public‑sector bodies, complex sites
Standalone GDPR / PECR audit £2,000+ Significant or sensitive data processing

Market figures are typical UK ranges. Our health‑check is a fixed £750.

The health‑check earns its place: it confirms your risk profile and points you to the right next step, so you are never guessing. And you spend only what your situation genuinely calls for, which is the careful use of charitable funds that trustees and funders expect.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as a full accessibility or GDPR audit?

No. Those are thorough programmes built for large or higher‑risk organisations, and they can run into several thousand pounds. The health‑check is a proportionate review for a small, low‑risk trust. It finds what matters at a fraction of the cost.

Do we have to fix everything you find?

No. You receive a prioritised list and our recommendation, and you decide what to act on. Any work is quoted separately, so you only spend on the gaps that matter to you.

What will the fixes cost?

It depends on what we find, which is rather the point of checking first. If you decide to have the fixes made, the work is charged at £105 an hour and always quoted up front, so you commit to nothing until you have seen the budget. If you are on WaaS, everyday fixes are already included; only a substantial, separate piece of work, such as a major rebuild, would be quoted on top.

Should we take the one‑off check or move to WaaS?

For trusts not on a WaaS plan, the £750 one‑off check tells you where you stand today. If you would rather not think about it again, WaaS for Trusts & Foundations includes the check and re‑runs it every year, with everyday fixes handled as part of the service. A one‑off review keeps you informed. The managed plan keeps you current.

How long does it take?

Most health‑checks are completed within two weeks of receiving access to your website.
